Centering Survivor Dignity: Applying the Wisdom of Social Movements to Address Health Needs (Part 4)
In this 4-part webinar series, participants will learn from programs implementing strategies that promote economic justice, housing stability, food sovereignty, and harm reduction. Part 4 will highlight two Indigenous housing justice programs as they share their approaches to empowering survivors and creating safer spaces within their communities.
In this peer to peer forum, instructors will facilitate a discussion around GAL emerging issues, best practices, and steps to improve outcomes for children and victim-parents when working with appointed GALs.
This unique training will focus on the intersection of technology and domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking. Participants will explore some of the ways technology is still evolving, including in our own use as agencies, as well as other intersections of technology and intimate partner violence.
The 2024 NIWRC Specialty Institute will offer presentations addressing the complex intersections of IPV with substance use, trauma, and mental health challenges that survivors experience. IPV increases survivors’ risks of suicidality, substance use disorders, depression, PTSD, and other mental health impacts.
